Personality.
Kind to a damn near fault and also remarkably stubborn, when Noah Nevernight sets his mind to something--Come heaven or hell, he will achieve it. He cannot and will not tolerate blind obedience, particularly the kind that spawns horrid injustice as a result of simply listening without understanding the gravity of one's deeds. He is also known to be quite compassionate, enough that he can and will risk his newfound life as a Bloodborne to save those in need. As he declares to Lamia when she attempts to halt his efforts to rescue Empousa who had saved his own life several times: "I was taught to repay kindness."
Despite the fact he acknowledges fate to be an ever looming factor in his life, he does not believe it to be the end-all to his path, and believes that the choices one makes are incredibly important. Nevertheless, this hardly means that he does not struggle with his own beliefs, as well as with the nature of his existence that he still does not entirely understand with his fractured memories.
Though mostly affable, Noah possesses a playful side and is known to snipe (with great prejudice) right back at people should they attempt to bully or tease him. This can be seen in the tension between himself and Isaac upon the realization that by personality they are quite similar. He has something of a dry sense of humor.

Having been reborn as a Bloodborne thanks to Empousa taking his blood before he was executed and burned by the Poet of Flame for heresy, Noah's memories are in pieces although he recalls one thing singularly: His promise to Ressa to return to her alive. The nature of his existence is a confusing one as he himself finds that he knows little of himself while others seem to recognize him, while Aiona and Empousa claim him to be a prophesied Moonblessed who will aid in guiding them to their true home.
In truth, Noah is 'Death', one of the four seeds of Calamity who had chosen not to remember rather than to truly forget. His role is not that of one who is the enemy of life, but rather a guide who helps those bound by longing to the Other Side, and at the cost of his own powers would act in defiance against the Divine Body that he was sealed within.
